Diktamen UK registered with the MHRA as a medical device manufacturer

We’re pleased to announce that Diktamen UK is registered with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as a medical device manufacturer, marking another important milestone in our continued growth within the UK healthcare sector.

As part of our registration, Diktamen’s Digital Dictation System is registered with the MHRA under GMDN code 36216, further strengthening the regulatory foundations behind our work with healthcare organisations across the UK.

For Diktamen, this represents more than another milestone. It reflects our continued commitment to developing technology for environments where security, reliability, governance and regulatory compliance matter.

Healthcare professionals create and manage huge volumes of clinical information every day.

Voice technology has long played an important role in this process, enabling clinicians to capture information efficiently without adding unnecessary administrative work to already demanding workloads.

Diktamen’s Digital Dictation System provides healthcare professionals with a secure, cloud-based way to capture dictation and support the creation and management of clinical documentation.

Our registration with the MHRA provides an important regulatory foundation as we continue to develop our presence across the NHS and wider healthcare sector.

While digital dictation remains at the heart of Diktamen, our technology continues to evolve.

We are increasingly focused on how voice, speech recognition and AI can work together to reduce the administrative burden surrounding clinical documentation.

Alongside Digital Dictation, our growing platform includes Speech Recognition, Ambient Capture, Meeting Capture, Task Management and Workflow Management, giving organisations new ways to capture information and turn it into useful, structured outcomes.

For clinicians, that could mean using speech recognition to create documentation directly from their voice, or using ambient technology to capture a clinical conversation and help generate structured documentation for professional review.

The goal is to make technology fit naturally around the healthcare professional and their existing workflow, rather than creating another administrative process for them to manage.

As healthcare organisations explore new approaches to clinical documentation, ambient technology and artificial intelligence, introducing new technology into clinical environments requires careful consideration.

Patient information is highly sensitive, clinical workflows are complex, and technology needs to operate within an environment where security, governance and regulatory requirements are fundamental.

Our MHRA registration forms part of Diktamen’s wider commitment to building technology with those requirements in mind as we continue working with NHS organisations and healthcare professionals across the UK.

The MHRA registration also comes alongside two other significant milestones for Diktamen.

We have been successfully appointed as a supplier on G-Cloud 15, providing an established route for public sector organisations to procure our cloud technology, and appointed to the RM6200 Artificial Intelligence Dynamic Purchasing System, supporting access to our AI-powered technologies and services.

Together, these developments strengthen Diktamen’s position as we continue to expand across healthcare and the wider UK public sector.

For us, the direction is clear: continue developing secure voice, AI and workflow technology that helps professionals capture information more efficiently, reduce administrative burden and spend more time focused on the work that matters.
